Privacy Policy

This is the privacy notice of Subsclip. It explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and the rights you have over your data.

Who we are

Data we collect

• Account data — email, hashed password (or OAuth identity from Google/Discord), display name, locale, timezone.
• Profile data — role (clipper/creator), payout method, referral code, optional Discord username + avatar.
• Activity data — submitted clip URLs, view counts pulled from public platform pages, attributed conversions, earnings.
• Communication data — Discord messages we post on your behalf in #cash-flow / #opportunities.

Legal basis

We process data to perform our contract with you (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR), to meet our legal obligations (6(1)(c)), and on the basis of legitimate interest in fraud prevention and platform integrity (6(1)(f)). Marketing emails — when introduced — are sent only on consent (6(1)(a)).

Sharing

We share data with the following sub-processors only:

• Supabase — authentication and database hosting (US/EU).
• Vercel — application hosting (US/EU).
• Discord — community notifications (US).
• [Future] Stripe Connect / Wise / Resend — payouts and email when enabled.

We do not sell or trade personal data. We never share your earnings amount publicly without your username pseudonymized to your Discord handle.

Retention

Account data is retained while your account is active and for 24 months after deletion to satisfy fiscal/audit obligations, after which it is permanently deleted from production and backups.

Your rights

You can access, rectify, port, restrict, or delete your data, and withdraw consent at any time. Email privacy@subsclip.com with your request and we will respond within 30 days. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.

Children

Subsclip is not directed to children under 16. We delete any account we learn belongs to a minor.

Updates

Material changes to this notice are announced via dashboard banner and via the email on file at least 14 days before they take effect.
